Paisley Textured Roller

The texture roller is a specialized tool for stamping textures onto different types of putties, clays, and modeling compounds. Made of transparent PMMA acrylic plastic, its non-stick surface and non-toxic composition make it safe and easy to use.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Knead and mix the chosen putty or clay until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Spread the material onto the desired surface, ensuring it is level. For a cleaner result, first use a smooth roller before applying the texture.
3. Depending on the type of putty, it may be necessary to dampen the roller or apply a very thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly to prevent sticking.
4. Roll the roller, applying even pressure to properly transfer the design.
5. Once the material has dried or hardened, remove the excess with a cutting tool.

MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY:

This roller is well-suited to various types of putties and clays.

With polymer clays such as Super Sculpey, working is especially convenient, as they do not harden until baking, allowing for pre-finishing touch-ups. If working on MDF wood bases, you can apply the texture directly and bake the piece with the base included (15 minutes at 150 °C). MDF wood withstands this process, generating only a slight odor when heated.

With epoxy putties, such as green putty, the key is controlling the adhesion. This material is sticky, so we recommend wetting the roller or using a small amount of petroleum jelly for modeling. The stickiness can also be reduced with talcum powder.

In the case of Milliput putty, it is advisable to limit the use of water. If it becomes too sticky, simply continue kneading to improve its workability.

CLEANING THE ROLLER:

After use, rinse the roller with plenty of water and use scratch brushes to remove any residue embedded in the engraved areas.
