GREEK Textured Roller

The textured roller is a tool designed to apply decorative textures to putties, pastes, or clays used in model making. It is made of transparent PMMA, a type of resistant, non-stick acrylic plastic that is completely safe to use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1. Knead the putty or clay until you obtain a uniform consistency, following the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Place the material on the desired surface, spreading it carefully to ensure it is level. To achieve a completely smooth base, it is recommended to first use a smooth roller.
3. If the material is particularly sticky, it can be moistened the roller or apply a thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly.
4. Roll the roller over the surface, applying constant pressure to imprint the texture evenly.
5. Once the putty is dry or hardened, trim the excess edges to define the final shape.

COMPATIBILITY WITH DIFFERENT MATERIALS:

This roller is suitable for many of the putties and clays available on the market.

Polymer clays like Super Sculpey are ideal, as they allow you to work calmly before baking. To create textured bases, you can apply directly onto MDF wood bases, which can withstand baking without damage. Bake at 150°C for 15 minutes. MDF wood does not burn, but may give off a slight odor.

With epoxy putties, each type requires a different treatment. Green putty, due to its strong adhesion, is It benefits from the use of water or petroleum jelly for modeling. Talcum powder can also be used to make the work easier.

Regarding Milliput putty, it is important to avoid excess water. If the mixture is too sticky, knead it longer to improve its texture. This putty also allows for the precise application of reliefs.

*** It is highly recommended to thoroughly clean the rollers after using epoxy putties to maintain the detail of the engravings.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

Wash the roller with water after each use. If any material remains, use Scratch brushes to access the smallest details of the design.
