Special textured rollers for texturizing and spreading all types of putties, clays, and pastes. Made of non-stick transparent PMMA plastic. Non-toxic.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Thoroughly mix the clay/putty until ready to use, following the recommendations of the manufacturer.

2. Spread the clay/putty over the surface to be textured. To optimize results, even out and smooth the surface homogeneously before applying the rollers.

*** It is recommended to use a smooth roller for this purpose.

3. Depending on the type of material used, it is advisable to dampen the roller, or use petroleum jelly for modeling, to prevent sticking.

4. Roll slowly, applying the same pressure at all points to obtain a similar texture.

5. Trim off excess clay/putty once it has dried.

MATERIALS:

There is a wide variety of putties and clays on the market, and all of them can be textured by applying the appropriate technique.

Generally, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey clay) are quite easy to work with using these rollers and allow Correct any mistakes, as they don't dry until baked. If the goal is to create textured bases, we recommend using MDF bases, as it's possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base and then bake everything, base included. The baking time for clays is 15 minutes at 150°C in the oven. The MDF will leave a smell similar to toast, although it won't burn. In the case of epoxy putties, there are more techniques to achieve similar results. The advantage is that they don't need to be baked and can be applied directly to plastic materials. When it comes to green stuff, it's especially sticky; you'll need to dampen the rollers with a little water. You can also reduce the stickiness of this putty by applying talcum powder or, for best results, a little modeling gel. Other epoxy putties like Milliput are also suitable, but we recommend against using them. Avoid over-wetting the rollers, as this will hinder their operation. On the other hand, if the mixture is too sticky, it's best to continue kneading until it becomes less sticky.

It is very important to clean the rollers properly after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After finishing working with the rollers, if any material residue remains on the print, clean with the Scratch brushes and plenty of water.
