Textured rollers for spreading and shaping all types of pastes, clays, and putties. Made of non-stick, transparent PMMA plastic. Non-toxic.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mix the sculpting putty/clay thoroughly until ready to use, according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

2. Spread the putty/clay onto the surface to be textured. For best results, smooth and even out the surface before applying the rollers. It is recommended to use a smooth roller for this purpose.

3. Depending on the type of material chosen, It is advisable to dampen the roller, or use modeling petroleum jelly, to prevent sticking.

4th Roll slowly, applying the same pressure at all points to obtain a similar texture.

5th Trim off any excess putty/clay once it has dried.

MATERIALS:

There are many types of putties and clays on the market, and all of them can be textured with the appropriate technique.

Generally, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey) are easy to work with using these rollers and allow for easy correction of mistakes since they do not dry until baked. If the goal is to create textured bases, we recommend using MDF wood bases, as it is possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base, and then bake everything, base included. The baking time for this material is 15 minutes at a temperature of 150ºC. MDF wood will leave a smell similar to toasted bread, but it won't burn.

For epoxy putties, there are more differences and more techniques to achieve similar results. The positive side is that you don't need to use an oven and they can be applied directly to plastic materials.

In the case of Green Stuff, which is especially sticky, you will need to dampen the rollers with a little water. You can also reduce the stickiness of this putty by applying talcum powder or, for the best results, a little modeling gel.

Other epoxy putties like Milliput epoxy are also suitable, but dampen them very slightly so as not to make them difficult to handle. On the other hand, if the mixture is too sticky, it's best to continue kneading until its stickiness is reduced.

In these cases, it is very important to clean the rollers properly after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After finishing working with the rollers, if any material remains on the drawing, clean it with the special Scratch brushes and plenty of water.

SAFETY:

Children should not use the rollers without adult supervision and assistance.
