The Devil's Eloquence (Spanish)

You play three of the most iconic figures of the horror genre (Dracula, Victor Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll) in a dialectical confrontation with their great antagonists, where word and dice management play a fundamental role. A solo narrative game with board game components.

The Devil's Eloquence immerses you in the dark and mysterious world of horror literature through a unique and challenging practice: the art of conversation. You take on the role of Dracula, Victor Frankenstein, or Dr. Jekyll, and confront their classic antagonists (Mina Harker, Renfield, or Van Helsing; the Creature; or Mr. Hyde, respectively), with the idea of ​​persuading them that your dark and reprehensible actions have a justifiable end. The game is played over a series of turns, in which you'll answer questions posed by your interlocutor (who acts as an oracle or automaton). You'll have to do so by adhering to the rules for answering and scoring if you want to win. Yes, win! In this game, in addition to playing a role, like in classic role-playing games, you can win or lose, like in board games. Without losing sight of what matters: the conversation and the comings and goings of the characters in an epic confrontation to safeguard each one's reasons for justifying their actions, you'll have to combine word management with dice rolls.
Along with the rules, you'll find a sample game and tips on how to roleplay and get involved in the action, as well as tips on how to manage the game's progress. To help inspire you, it's recommended to create a preamble and, at the end of the game, an epilogue.
