Violet Silicone Putty 200g

Silicone Putty 200g

Green Stuff World Silicone Putty is a platinum silicone that can be easily mixed and applied by hand. Mix in equal parts (1A:1B) by volume.

Green Stuff World Silicone Putty has a working time of 2.5 minutes and a curing time of 10 minutes. Shrinkage is minimal (0.03%), and when cured, it becomes exceptionally strong and durable (tensile strength 6 N/mm). It withstands temperatures up to 150ºC.

Other applications include taking quick mold impressions of almost any surface, orthotics, jewelry making, and much more...

The curing of the silicone putty can be inhibited by certain contaminants on the workpiece. to molding, resulting in stickiness in the texture or a complete lack of curing throughout the mold. Only vinyl gloves should be used, as latex gloves inhibit the curing of the rubber. Tin silicone, sulfur-containing modeling clays, certain wood surfaces, uncleaned polyester resin residue, epoxy, or urethane rubber can also cause inhibition.

If in doubt about the compatibility between the silicone rubber and the surface, a small-scale test is recommended. Apply a small amount to a non-critical area of the part. Inhibition has occurred if the rubber is gummy or uncured after the curing time has elapsed.
