The Breach (Spanish)

Planet Earth… late 21st century: The Achab Corporation influences and dominates the world using extraordinary technologies, gained through access to Gene.sys, a secret database of unknown origin that has proven to be a mine of information and knowledge.

However, the Corporation is not the only entity that wants to obtain these secrets: Breachers are expert hackers, capable of connecting to Gene.sys to steal information and increase the power and prestige of their faction. The A.R.M. (Achab Remote Mind) security system, a sophisticated artificial intelligence developed by Achab engineers, proactively detects and combats every attempt to intrude into Gene.sys, but it seems that something is not working as it should…

The Breach is a competitive Net Crawler game for 1-4 players, lasting approximately 25 minutes per player, in which they attempt to hack the Gene.sys database to steal secret information. Each player takes on the role of a Breacher, a digital rebel, guided by their ideals or the interests of their faction.

The game map is Gene.sys, a virtual universe of mysterious origin, currently controlled by the Achab Corporation. After hacking the database, the Breacher Avatars will have to face various dangers: not only other Breachers, but also the I.C.E. controlled by A.R.M., who will try to stop the incursions. In case of need, A.R.M. will also deploy powerful Guardians to try to put an end to the intrusion attempts.

The Breach is a Net Crawler with a distinctive resource management system, set collection mechanics, and variable powers. Your goal is to spread your viruses within the database while collecting as much information as possible.

The game turn is structured in three phases:

Firewall (the I.C.E. execute their subroutines against the players).
Actions (the Avatars choose and execute their actions).
Network (the Avatars configure their abilities and steal information using viruses).

You'll be able to upgrade your Avatar, assign viruses, fight Guardians and other Avatars, explore Gene.sys' rooms, but also install programs and use Cheat codes to manipulate the database to your needs.

Also, pay attention to your Avatar's health: if it takes enough damage, it will be disconnected from the network and reconnected in a different location. However, you could play strategically and take advantage of this event as well…

Each game of The Breach will be different from the last: the choice between Avatar, Breacher and the database structure offers a different challenge each time, and players will have to be resourceful to identify the best strategy and optimize the resources available.
