Guardians' Chronicles –Doctor Skarov Threatens All (English)

Guardians Chronicles is a superhero-themed miniatures game in which you play as either a member of the Freedom Patrol or the group's arch-nemesis, Professor Skarov. To set up the game, Skarov's player places the nine double-sided tiles on the board in a 3x3 grid, with his control room in the center space. Each player takes their character sheet, miniature, and 7 to 10 action cards. These characters enter the grid on one of the side tiles and must advance along the space, facing minions and traps along the way, to accomplish objectives set for this game, such as thwarting a nuclear missile attack. On each turn, hero players play one or two action cards;each card displays a special power and modifiers to that hero's inherent stats (movement, attack, defense, and mental). Cards played can be used for both the special power and modifiers. Each hero player has four actions in a round, and players may play in any order they wish. The actions are moving around the base, attacking an enemy, or using a special power from a played action card or the hero's character sheet. Professor Skarov then receives a number of action points based partially on the heroes' actions, and uses these to activate himself, his minions, or his robots, which also perform move, attack, or special power actions. As players complete (or fail to complete) objectives, journals report on who did what, and the sum of those reports determines who wins.
