Railway Boom (Spanish)

At the end of the 19th century, during the early Meiji era, Japan opened its first railway line between Shimbashi and Yokohama. This new mode of transport sparked a boom in railway development across the country. Local entrepreneurs and, later, powerful magnates founded new companies that grew into major railway corporations throughout the Taishō and Shōwa eras.

Railway Boom recreates this industrial era through gameplay mechanics in which players must balance resource management with the expansion of their railway network, connecting various cities across Japan.

Railway Boom is played over four rounds, and each round consists of six phases. Four of these phases are further divided into two steps:

• Auction Step: Use your resources to compete for turn order in the next action step; making decisions first can give you significant advantages.

• Action Step: You can purchase trains, expand your railway network, develop technologies, and earn large amounts of victory points.
