Himizu (Spanish)

Himizu is a board game that represents nature's eternal battle: in the middle of a forest clearing, two spirits, Fire (Hi) and Water (Mizu), clash. Take on the role of one of the spirits and help them dominate the forest by deploying burning tiles, scorching existing ones (in the case of Fire), or defending the forest for 10 turns or extinguishing the flames.

Based on strategic grid-based movement mechanics, you'll place tiles and use abilities to control the forest. On each turn, players must choose which actions to take to gain control of the board and thwart the next player's move.

Fire and Water possess asymmetrical abilities with different costs that will help accelerate each side's victory conditions. Fire will seek to consume everything in its path, deploying its 16 burning terrain tiles/burning the forest, while water will try to quell the fire's advance for 10 turns or extinguish the 3 flame figures on the board.

Each use of abilities will cost power tokens that will be immediately given to your opponent, so the more abilities you use, the more power you give to the other element for their next turn.

You must tactically decide each move, carefully assessing how the board is moving. Be careful, as in desperation you could trap yourself or give your opponent too much power. Patience and perseverance will lead you to victory, but don't be afraid to attack when you catch your opponent off guard and weakened.
