Dominant Species - DE

90,000 BC - A big? Ice age is imminent. Another gigantic struggle for global supremacy between the different animal species has unknowingly begun. Dominant Species (Dominant Art) is a game that abstractly recreates a tiny part of early history: the momentous incursion of an Ice Age and what that means for living beings trying to adapt to the slowly changing Earth. Each player takes on the role of one of the six major animal classes - mammal, reptile, bird, amphibian, spider or insect. Each begins the game in more or less a state of natural balance in relation to one another.

But that doesn't last: it is indeed the experience of the fittest. By placing action figures wisely, players will aim to become dominant in as many different terrain spaces as possible in order to lay claim to powerful card effects. Players will also want to expand their individual species to gain victory points for their respective animal. Speciation, migration, and adaptation, among other things, will help players in these endeavors. This all eventually leads to the endgame - the final rise of the Ice Age, in which the player who has accumulated the most victory points crowns their pet as the dominant species. But anyone hurry up to become dominant as it could get very cold? .
