England 1572, we are in the middle of the Elizabethan era. You return as a young captain from a successful voyage to the busy port of Plymouth. There you prepare yourself for further adventures. As a swashbuckling privateer, you undertake three journeys to the Spanish colonies in the Caribbean, the treasury of England's arch-rival for dominance of the world. On your quest for glory you collect Aztec gold, Inca silver and valuable jewels. But first you must plan the missions carefully, equip your ships accordingly and choose the best route to New Spain. Can you be the first to set sail and cross the ?Spanish Main? to reach where the legendary treasure chambers of Cartagena, Havana, Panama and Veracruz are waiting for you to plunder them?

Prior to and during your adventure important decisions have to be made: how many crew members, weapons and trade goods you will have needed? What supplies are needed to go deep into the Caribbean? Is a stronger galleon needed to attack the Spanish treasure fleets? Can captured Spanish admirals and governors help you, or is your spies' information more valuable? Will the Queen or wealthy investors back the trip? Will Drake be personally available to guide the journey? ? and who gets the ?Golden Hind?. The ship that Francis Drake used to circumnavigate the world.
