Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams is a game with push your luck mechanics and a racing game that includes card management. Designed by Neil Kimball and illustrated by Zoé Plane, it proposes players to take on the role of the sheep that help us sleep soundly every night.

Each turn points are obtained based on the movement of the sheep around the board and jumping fences. However, terrifying nightmares threaten to frustrate the rest, so all the steps will have to be carefully measured.

On each turn, you will play one of your two hole cards to move your sheep around a circular board. This will activate various effects that will award you victory points. You will also have the option to jump the ditch every time you complete a lap, to earn more points.

Every time you draw new cards, however, there is a chance that you will draw a nightmare card. This will force you to activate the nightmare pawn, which if it crosses your path will scare your human and wake him up.

That means that you will earn very few points that round.

In Sweet Dreams, players must decide each turn whether to withdraw wisely or risk continuing to score points, despite the possibility of losing them all at once. Little by little, the board will grow with new options to add sleep points that will bring the pillow closer to the desired rest.

Through cards, players can dodge nightmares, jump over the fence or perform combos to get more points. Although luck will play an important role, it will be necessary to plan the movements with a certain dose of strategy if you want to win in Sweet Dreams. Also if the opponent is oneself, as the rules detail a solo game mode that is quite a challenge.
