All players start a FYFE game with the same board. Over the course of a game, they decide not only which tiles to use, but also how to score them. In each round, they have the option to place one of two tiles. If there is no scoring board pointing from the edge of the player's board to the tile just placed (vertical, horizontal, or from one of the two diagonals at the top of the board), one must be placed immediately.
Players can choose one of the remaining 15 scoring boards. As soon as a scoring board is completed, it is flipped over. Whoever completes a task first receives extra points. Bonus points also await if two, three, or even four score boards are completed with the placement of a single tile.
A good pre-planning and the placement of the wooden pieces and scoring boards at the right time pays off in this abstract tile placement game from Kosch. Lucky charms give players individual abilities that they can use once in the game. Once all 25 spaces on the board are filled, the game is over.
