Space Walk

mancala type game with victory points awarded to surviving spaceships. The board consists of a loop of "black holes", each separated by 6 spaces in between. One move is to collect all the spaceships on a space and plant them in a mancala pattern around the board. Ships that fall into a "black hole" are lost forever. The game ends when one person has lost all the ships.

Several twists in the rules help make this more than just imitation of mancala. For one, ships come in 3 sizes (victory points of 4, 3, and 1), and there is a requirement that the largest ships be seeded first. Second, each player has 3 tokens that allow one extra move, but are worth 2 victory points if not used. The strategy is to figure out how to use your opponent's ships as sacrifices so that your ships surround the black holes.
