In The Witcher: The Old World, you take on the role of a witcher (a professional monster hunter) to uncover stories that took place hundreds of years before the events of the Saga.

Set years before the Geralt of Rivia saga, The Witcher: The Old World explores a time when monsters roamed the continent in greater numbers, creating constant danger that required the attention of expert monster hunters, known as witches. . Five competing schools trained their adepts through brutal regimes, and once fully prepared, these now recognized witches set out to explore the land, seeking trouble and adventure and helping others in exchange for coin.

In this competitive adventure board game, 2 to 5 players travel across a vast map, embarking on masterfully written quests, encountering and making ambiguous moral decisions, fighting monsters... and sometimes fighting other witches to defend their honor! school!

The game allows players to build their own decks of cards by choosing from a wide range of abilities: attacks, dodges, and witch combat magic, known as “signs.” Through card synergy, players aim to achieve powerful combos while fully utilizing the distinctive abilities of their Witcher school. Missions, battles, and even dice poker allow each player to earn money, obtain new items, and train their skills.

The world you will explore is full of difficult decisions and danger lurks around every corner. Racism, deceitful magicians, disputes between rulers, and the terrible monsters that appeared after the Conjunction of the Spheres are some reasons why you should not embark on this dangerous journey without a sword in your hand. Your heightened senses and witcher training have made you the perfect monster slayer and trophy hunter.

This is your profession: you hunt and kill monsters, as long as someone pays you for it. After the fall of the Warlock Order, five new schools were created: Wolves, Griffins, Bears, Cats and Vipers. Each school trains its followers differently and lives by its own rules. After completing your training in your school's Stronghold, begin your journey of exploration, not only to do enough to obtain a simple bowl of oatmeal, but also to find the glory and pride of the school whose medallion you are wearing.

The first player to collect between 4 and 6 trophies, the number of which is established at the beginning of the game, wins the game instantly. Trophies can be obtained by killing monsters, instigating and winning chaotic tavern fights against another warlock, training attributes to their maximum level, and solving certain quests throughout the adventure.
