Film Directors (Spanish)

Film Directors is a board game of creativity and imagination for the whole family in which we become the directors and screenwriters of unique stories designed by ourselves. The objective of the game is to tell a story with the cards we discover, continuing it and connecting it to the stories of the other players.

The Film Directors game works similarly to the popular dice game "Story Cubes," but this time with cards. It is a board game designed to improve oral expression, develop creative language, strengthen public speaking skills, and improve social skills with friends and family. The game is very simple. The first player selects four cards from the deck without looking at them, placing them face up, and starting a story using those cards. There is no set time for the story; the narrator can narrate for 1, 5, or 20 minutes. The four cards are then removed, and the next player selects new cards, which they will use to continue the story.

THE GAME CONTAINS 100 DIFFERENT CARDS:

21 word cards, each containing a single word, such as "wise," "agile," "strong," etc.

25 phrase cards, each containing a specific phrase, such as "bills were raining from the sky...", "it was a dragon spitting out paper balls," etc.

50 picture cards, with illustrated designs of all kinds.

2 blank cards, included to create your own designs or to use as a wild card.

2 Oscar Statuette cards, to be awarded to the best directors and screenwriters of the game.

The game ends when all the cards in the deck are used up, and this is the time to determine the winners of the game. As you can see, this is not a competitive board game, as the goal is to create a fun story, develop imagination, and improve the players' oral expression.
