You are Friday, the cunning and easygoing inhabitant of a paradise island who suddenly finds himself with an unexpected problem: Robinson Crusoe has been shipwrecked on your beach, and you must help him survive… and, above all, leave once and for all.

Friday is a solo deck-building card game designed by Friedemann Friese, one of the leading names in European board game design. The game unfolds in three phases of increasing difficulty—green, yellow, and red—in which you will face the island's dangers to progressively improve Robinson's abilities.

The core mechanic is elegant and tense: each turn you choose between two danger cards and fight the one you prefer by drawing cards from your deck. If you win, the card from the overcome danger becomes a new ability that strengthens your deck. If you lose, you pay life points, but you can use the defeat to your advantage by eliminating weak cards. This duality—winning to improve, losing to refine—is the strategic heart of the game.

Time is also an enemy: the longer the game lasts, the more aging cards infiltrate your deck, penalizing your future battles. Managing the pace is just as important as choosing the right threats.

If you manage to optimize your deck and defeat the two pirates who arrive at the end, Robinson escapes the island and you regain your well-deserved peace.

With games lasting around 30 minutes, four difficulty levels, and surprising strategic depth for its size, Friday is an undisputed benchmark for solo play and an essential addition to any collection.
