KENTAUROI

Kentauroi Information

Named after the mythical tribe of centaurs, these undead amalgamations are the product of the twisted mind of Dr Douglas McMourning. By combining the upper half of a human with the lower half of a horse, McMourning had hoped to create a zombie that was both swift on its feet and capable of using weapons. 

Kentauroi are, indeed, quite fast, but the part that most necromancers seem to have latched onto - much to the doctor's annoyance - is that these zombies can be ridden like a horse without sacrificing combat potential. If there's any drawback, it's that the act of attaching human to horse is quite awkward, and as a result, Kentauroi tend to fall apart - literally - more often than more traditional zombies.
