The lure of necromancy often begins in very subtle ways. A person could be living out their days in Malifaux when they come across an old book with words only they seem to be able to read. As they learn more, the words seem to take on a strange power that translates into the material world. If any such person happens to have access to a Soulstone, they can go from casual merchant to Resurrectionist in a matter of weeks, leaving their home to practice in the untamed sectors of the city and to pillage any libraries that might have more books with more instructions on their craft.
