What sets them apart is their total freedom of movement, as they are lightly armored troops on unarmored mounts chosen for their speed and tempered character, and trained to enhance those virtues. Although they suffer from the usual vulnerability to arrows common to all light troops, scouts consider archers their natural prey, as they can engage an unprotected line of archers and annihilate them with ease.
