The capture of slaves is part of the looting tradition of the ironborn, hence their trappers are experts in taking their enemies alive. Trapper Ironborn are not built for front-line combat, but instead outflank and hamper heavier enemy units with their long, serrated spears and tangled webs. If you have trappers on one flank and virtually every other unit on the other, even the most heavily armored cavalry will be quickly outmatched and defeated. However, the trapper ironborn are not suitable for sustained engagements and are also easy prey for long-range archers.
