Beacon Patrol

You are a captain of the Coast Guard and your mission is to ensure safety on the North Sea coast. You will collaborate with the other captains in monitoring the sea and inspecting vital infrastructure, such as lighthouses and buoys. Act efficiently, because time is of the essence and you must monitor the largest possible area of ​​sea. Move your ship, place tiles and work together with your fellow captains to obtain the highest honors and the admiration of all the inhabitants of the coast.

Designed and illustrated by Torben Ratzlaff, Beacon Patrol can be enjoyed alone or in groups of up to 4 players, aged 8 and up, in 30-minute games. Through tile-laying mechanics and a modular board, you will work together to monitor the largest possible area of ​​sea and to inspect lighthouses and buoys. At the end of the game, you will score points for the tiles you have explored. Ready to patrol the coast?

Learning to play Beacon Patrol is very simple and turns flow very quickly once you know the rules. On each turn, you will place tiles in the center of the table, adjacent to the tile where your ship is located. Each time you expand the central map, you will move across the new tiles, either by normal movement or by propulsion, spending one of the three available tokens. Another action you can do on your turn is to exchange tiles with other players, so that you can optimize the best combinations to score more points.

And that's not all! Once you've familiarized yourself with the basic game, you can add one or two mini-expansions included in the box. Each of these expansions adds some tiles that give you new scoring options at the end of the game. For one, you can add wind turbines, which award points for the open sea tiles they have adjacent to them; On the other hand, there are the piers, which give additional points for each building present in the land areas to which they are connected.
