Paris, 1898. All over the city, preparations for the 1900 World's Fair are in full swing. Scaffolding is being erected here and there, and the false tunnels that will later be covered are being built in the streets. Construction of the Paris metropolitan transport network is already underway and it's up to you to ensure that the tracks are laid out efficiently.

Metro is a classic, first published in 1997, now available in a new, revised edition with 4 expansions included. Designed by Dirk Henn, it allows games for groups of 2 to 6 players, aged 8 and up, lasting around 30 minutes. Through a main mechanic of placing tiles, the aim of the game is to earn the greatest number of victory points by building underground railway lines.

Easy to learn and play, being able to score the most points is quite a challenge. On their turn, players draw and place a tile on the board, expanding the railway network. Players score points when they complete a line from one of their cars to a station. And if they manage to connect to the central station, they multiply their score by two.

Once you have mastered the base game, you can include one or more of the expansions included in the box. The first module is the metro companies module, which adds the board and the deck of 32 participation cards. In this version, instead of playing a tile on the central board, players can exchange shares of a company. At the end of the game, players will score points for the benefits their shares bring them. The second module is the metro stations module, which allows you to add cars to the central station. The third is central tracks, which proposes adding 4 track tiles to the central station box. And finally, the Station Numbers expansion, which includes 32 numbered tiles, and gives players bonus points at the end of the game.
