UBOOT - Wolves of the Kriegsmarine, is a fully cooperative and real-time board game of underwater warfare during World War II. It allows 1 to 4 players to assume the functions of Captain, First Officer, Navigator and Chief Engineer aboard a submarine type VIIC. The game is developed thanks to a complementary application that is necessary to download, which allows an unprecedented level of realism, as well as a challenging enemy Artificial Intelligence. This application introduces ambient sounds, changing weather conditions, etc. The action takes place both strategically and tactically, always demanding teamwork, efficient crew management and a rapid assessment of the situation.

The players will be in command of a submarine with which they will have to fulfill the missions entrusted by the German High Command. These missions may require players to locate and destroy enemy convoys, to escape the siege that the allies have tended to them, or to break a naval blockade, among many others. Each player will assume control of one of the four available roles, each with unique functions. Each of these functions carries specific responsibilities, encouraging players to develop an efficient communication scheme and to use true naval terminology. The captain supervises the fulfillment of the mission objectives, supervises the costs at action points and is responsible for the morale of the crew. The First Officer operates the accompanying application, manages the flow of information and deals with the health of the crew. The Navigator directs the submarine by setting its course and depth, but also updates all the essential information about the strategic and tactical map. Last but not least, there is the Chief Engineer, who is responsible for the engines, repairs and other mechanical implements on board the submarine (such as ballast tanks, weapon systems, etc.). At the same time, each of the four officers commands their own group of crew members issuing orders within a worker placement system.

The idea behind the complementary application is to offer a realistic real-time gaming experience. For this, the application has the most essential instruments of the submarine (such as the periscope, the hydrophone and the Enigma machine, among others). However, be assured that the vast majority of the game takes place on the game board, with the instruments revealing information that would otherwise be hidden, and the application only requires certain data (such as submarine heading, speed, etc. .) to generate adequate AI.

Each mission will require players to adopt various strategies and game styles to complete it successfully, and the accompanying application will generate a detailed report at the end of each game session (evaluating the player's efforts, and possibly granting decorations, promotions, etc.) .
