The King's Dilemma

The King's Dilemma is a unique narrative and interactive experience with legacy elements, a wide variety of interlocking storylines with a multitude of possible endings, and an evolving deck of Event cards.

Players represent the different Houses that control the government of the Ankist kingdom. In each round, you will draw a card from the Dilemma deck and experience how the game's story unfolds. Each card will pose a problem for the Council to resolve on behalf of the king. As members of the king's inner circle, your decisions will determine how the story progresses, and therefore the fate of the kingdom. Each event only happens once, so you will have to dialogue and negotiate with the other players and then make a decision that will have consequences and will advance the story of the game, unlocking more events.

You will have to maintain the stability of the kingdom while seeking benefits for your own House. The power struggle between the Houses could provoke the appearance of wars, famines or revolts, or could generate wealth and well-being for the kingdom. Everything will depend on your decisions! However, every decision has its consequences and what is good for the kingdom can be bad for your House.

Will you act for the common good or will you think only of yourself?
