Orchard is a solitaire game of card placement and fruit picking.
Orchard is a solitaire game of cards and dice with games lasting about 10 minutes, with a recommended age of 14 and up. Includes multiplayer rules (requires one copy of the game per player).
This game won the 2018 9 Card Game Print &Play by Board Game Geek, winning in the categories of best solo game and best rulebook.
The goal of the game is to harvest as much fruit as you can by growing your orchard and playing cards so that the fruit trees overlap other trees with the same type of fruit. The more trees you overlap, the more fruit you will collect.
Our objective is to place the cards so that they overlap trees of the same type to harvest the fruits. When we manage to superimpose a tree on top of another of the same type, we will mark that we have harvested a fruit with a d6 (6-sided die) at the value 1, if in the same position we place another card with a matching tree we will harvest three fruits (we mark with a 3 on d6). We can overlap another tree to get six fruits (6 on the d6) and finally overlap another tree to get 10 fruits (indicator of 10 fruits on the d6). The number of fruits we get will be our final score.
