3 Ring Circus

Under the tent, jugglers, clowns, magicians, strongmen and wild beasts capture the curiosity of a dedicated audience that applauds incessantly. After each performance, your little company builds fame and may one day spark the interest of P.T. Barnum, the greatest circus magnate of all time.

Designed by Fabio Lopiano (Merv, Autobahn, Calimala) and Remo Conzadori and illustrated by Edu Valls (responsible for the art of games like Bitoku or Tiny Turbo Cars), Three Ring Circus is a title that can be enjoyed alone or in a group of up to 4 players in which the participants will put themselves in the shoes of a circus manager who tours the United States at the end of the 19th century. Your objective is to hire artists and give performances in various towns and cities, with the intention of gaining fame. In the towns, the shows are easy to set up and bring you the initial resources to improve your cast; small cities are somewhat more demanding, but they allow you to get in touch with better artists; Big city audiences are even more demanding and want to see very concrete numbers, but performing there gives you much more fame!
 
On their turn, players will be able to hire an artist or offer a performance. At the beginning of the game, the circuses of each player are empty, so it will be necessary to hire to form the company. The artist cards will grant more or less benefits depending on the order in which they perform, so one of the keys to the game is to plan the shows that will be offered very well. If they decide to act, the players must move to a free space on the map. If it is a town, they will receive the most basic currency cards as a prize. If you play in a small city, depending on the number of pedestals you have in your company, you will be able to claim more or fewer entrance cards (the second most valuable ones) or Fame Points. In the big cities many points of fame are obtained, but the public is more demanding and always demands a specific type of artist.


While your little circus tries to survive, the great and splendid Barnum Circus travels across the country and when it reaches a big city, a score is held in that region: the circuses that have put on the most performances there will gain even more fame. With very careful art that evokes circus posters from the end of the 19th century, Three Ring Circus will delight players looking for a solid theme with quality components. Also those who enjoy planning strategies will have a great time managing their hand to build the most efficient company, which allows them to score more victory points in their performances. In addition, the game includes a solitaire mode designed by David Turczi (author of games like Imperium and other solitaire modes, like Bitoku).
