Grove is a fruit-collecting, card-placement solitaire game.
Grove is the citrusy sequel to the award-winning 9-card solitaire game Orchard.
Grove is a card and dice solitaire game featuring one-play duration about 10 minutes, with a recommended age of 14 years and up.
In Grove, you have to cultivate your orchard and harvest as much fruit as you can, playing cards so that fruit trees overlap other trees with the same type of fruit .
This sequel includes lemon, orange and lime trees and a new "wild card" element, glades. These treeless open spaces, combined with a new scoring mechanic, offer more ways and opportunities to increase your harvest and create a greater variety of games and strategies.
You'll also find a mischievous squirrel, who can help or hinder your harvesting fruit, as well as a wheelbarrow, useful if you get a big harvest.
The backs of the cards feature recipe challenges with various scoring conditions and target scores. This provides a win/lose condition (as an alternative to Orchard's "beat your score") for those who prefer it, and adds even more variety to the game.
