CHYF: Libertos

Daenerys Targaryen's military campaign on Essos freed tens of thousands of slaves. Although it may not have been their intention to amass a large fighting force, it turned out that the gaps between their ranks of troops were filled with excited women and men ready to take up arms for their liberator. Armed only with pickaxes, shovels, rakes, clubs, and other makeshift weapons, Freedmen can overwhelm even the most battle-hardened troops thanks to their sheer numbers. However, their complete lack of armor, training, and discipline makes Freedmen shaky troops at best, as they tend to show little initiative and their determination often hangs in the balance. Knowing this, sensible commanders shouldn't totally rely on them for anything important.
