More info

In Essos, the bloodriders of the Dothraki put their blood and lives at the disposal of their khal to serve as companions, bodyguards, and hallowed lieutenants. A bloodrider's oath is unbreakable, so he obeys his lord to the death. Serving Khal Drogo as individual leaders or riding alongside their khal on the battlefield are Cohollo, Haggo, and Qotho, each a skilled and deadly warrior worth ten men. As for Rakharo, he fulfills the same role in the service of the khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen, as he is one of the few bloodriders to have sworn such an oath to the dragon queen.
