Previous generations relied on exploiting the oceans. But at the end of the 19th century, change and opportunity came to your fishing village in northern Norway. In Saltfjord, you must decide whether to expand your settlement with new buildings, send your boat out to fish, engage in trade, or pioneer new technologies to simplify everyday life. How will you shape the destiny of your village? Saltfjord is set in a Norwegian fishing village and is loosely inspired by the dice-draw mechanics of "Santa Maria," but otherwise, the game has been completely redesigned and expanded with new elements. To increase replayability, the game features numerous variable elements in the setup, such as the special abilities and final score tokens available.
