Key to the City - London

Key to the City ? London is a game for 2 to 6 players. Each player aims to develop their own neighborhood in London around their starting tile, using the large hexagonal location tiles.

Each location tile gives victory points and can generate resources (connectors that connect two tiles together). location and skill tiles). Connectors and skill tiles can be used to upgrade location tiles in exchange for victory points and additional productivity.

The game takes place over four eras. In each era there will be new location tiles available to bid on. In both eras 1 and 2 these tiles will contain 6 resource generator tiles, plus some additional building tiles. In era 3 there will only be building tiles, which will already be up to date. In era 4 some Routemaster tiles will be available.

On his turn a player chooses one of five actions. They can use one or more of their team's woodworkers (?keyples?) to (1) bid on a location tile, (2) use a location tile to generate resources, or (3) upgrade a location. They can either (4) pass, in which case they can play that era again, or (5) stop playing that era by setting sail on their barge along the Thames. The game ends after the last barge sails at the end of the age of 4, at which point the player with the most victory points wins the match. Key to the City? London has structural similarities to the award-winning 2012 R&D Game of the Year: Keyflower.
