Abyss base game

For centuries, creatures like no other have ruled the depths of the ocean. His kingdom, called "Abyss", is respected by all his Allied Races, who are pleased to receive protection from the fearsome Monsters of the deep.

But soon the throne of Abyss will be empty, there are only a few days before the future Monarch is proclaimed. Time is short:… it seems that you can be a good candidate. Why don't you claim it? You need to expand your influence and you should try:

AFFILIATE the best representatives of the Allied Races.
RECRUIT honorable Lords (and benefit from their powers); Y
CONTROL important locations in the kingdom.

Your success depends on your ability to make the right decisions. In the deep sea, money fuels conflict, so managing your Precious Pearls properly will be key to controlling events and, of course, only luck favors the daring!


OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

To be crowned King of Abyss, you must earn the highest number of Influence Points ("IP") at the end of the game.

Influence Points are obtained primarily by affiliating Allies, recruiting Lords, and controlling Locations. Each Monster you face during the game will earn you the gratitude of yours and Influence Points.


SUMMARY OF THE GAME

Players take turns clockwise.

On your turn, you must follow the following steps in order:

Plot in Court (optional): You can spend 1 or more Pearls to bring new Lords to Court.
Take an Action (required): you must choose one of the following 3 actions:
- Explore the Depths
- Ask the Council for help
- Recruit a Lord
Control a Location (required): When you earn a third key, you must take control of a Location.

Abyss Leviathan expansion

This expansion of the ABYSS game allows, for the first time, to add a fifth player and can be combined with the Abyss Kraken expansion.

The news from the border posts is disturbing. The Leviathans, terrifying Sea Monsters from the depths of the Abyss, have gathered on the Frontier and threaten the kingdom. Will the Allies and affiliates chosen by each of the guilds be strong enough to contain them?

Going out to explore is henceforth a dangerous initiative: battle is never a sure thing and flight can be even more dangerous. But this is a unique opportunity to prove your worth and use that influence to ascend to the throne they train tirelessly and develop the necessary skills for combat.

The decisions you make against the Leviathans - fight or flight - will carry important consequences.

Abyss - Kraken Expansion

The struggle for power in the Kingdom of Abyss is fiercer than ever.

Corruption has begun to spread its evil tentacles through the depths that were once pure. The smugglers' guild, withdrawn into the heart of a graveyard of colossal animals, has allied with the Kraken and begun trading with the Nebulis.

These precious Black Pearls that can consolidate your power, but can also cause your downfall.

You can allow yourself to be corrupt to gain new powers and new Locations, but you will pay a heavy price at the end of the game. Even if you decide to remain uncorrupted, remember that your opponents will not hesitate to spend their Nebulis to close their deals ...
