Darwin's Journey is a worker placement Eurogame in which players re-enact Charles Darwin's adventurous journey to the Galapagos Islands, which helped develop his world-famous theory of evolution.

The innovative worker progression system of the game means that each worker must study the Disciplines that are prerequisites for various actions in the game. For example researching, corresponding, collecting and sending species discovered on the island. The game is played over five rounds, with each player completing multiple short and long-term objectives in an attempt to earn victory points in a variety of ways.
