Changes are coming in Derbyshire, England, where four families, all containing young gentlemen and ladies of worthy age, find themselves embroiled in romance and intrigue during a time of optimism.

You are the leader of a respected but hapless family in Victorian England. After several decades of austerity, the family fortune is recovering. Your goal is to renovate a neglected estate, rehabilitate the family's tarnished reputation, and improve the marriage prospects of marriageable children, cementing your connection to the wealthy and influential Fairchild family.

During the game, you will have to make your estate more attractive, expand your social connections, gain a high reputation in the county, have a large and educated household staff, and even try to successfully woo one of the Fairchilds!
