An Age Contrived Ad Infinitum Expansion (Spanish)

The base game of An Age Contrived features a fantastic amount of variability, but for players who want to explore the depths of this game even further, they will be able to do so with Ad Infinitum.

Ad Infinitum twists the base game experience in a way that matters between playthroughs, with one session having an impact on the next. However, this is not a campaign expansion. We've been inspired by the flexibility with which games like Oathsworn and Necromunda deal with different players who are fixed in each game, but also with groups that constantly change.

This expansion may be more rewarding if you play with a similar group regularly, but it can be used in any of your sessions. It adapts to any combination of players entering, leaving or re-entering your group, as well as one-off sessions.

Compatible with all editions of An Age Contrived.

Progress tokens

How does it work? First we are going to introduce you to the progress sheets. We started the campaign with 12 of them, but we have already unlocked additional objectives that bring the total to 16.

Each Advance token provides a different benefit to its recipient before the start of the game. These tokens are assigned to players during setup, based on a set of rules. One of those rules is that if someone new to An Age Contrived is playing with experienced players, he gains an Advance token. Because? Well, this is a game with interconnected systems to discover, explore and balance. Someone playing for the second time will almost always beat someone playing for the first time. Granting an Advancement token to a newcomer is not just a benefit, but rather it familiarizes them more quickly with the basic systems of the game, bringing them fully into the experience. Still, they'll have to play smart within those frameworks to take advantage of any benefits they receive.

How else do players earn Advancement Tokens? Below, we present the Pantheon Registration Sheet:

This sheet is used to record all the sessions you play An Age Contrived, remembering each game forever. As if that persistent record wasn't enough, it is also used to assign Advancement tokens. Lose big in one game and you might win a few chips to help you in the next. This can be used to add an extra challenge to more skilled An Age Contrived players, or to balance rivalries that arise over time between different players and characters.

Trophy Tokens

As the current leader of the Eldranic Pantheon, you have the right to display your laurels with these Trophies on either side of your device the next time you play. Yes, they are magnetic and yes, your friends will be jealous.
