A Song of Ice and Fire Veterans of the Guard

Among the tanned and dangerous men of the Night's Watch have emerged some of the toughest heroes ever seen in the Seven Kingdoms. From veterans of the Wall who are in the front line of battle, such as Donal Noye and Othell Yarwyck, to expert fighters who lead large contingents, such as Qhorin Mediamano and Alliser Thorne, these men have passed the test of combat and come out of it firmer and impetuous if possible. Even relatively new recruits like Grenn and Pypar quickly adapt to the rigors of endless fighting. On the Wall, life is hard and many are the challenges, so that one adapts or dies.
