Food Chain Magnate Expansion The Ketchup Mechanism and Other Ideas (Spanish)

Food Chain Magnate Expansion The Ketchup Mechanism and Other Ideas

Full English Edition

A copy of Food Chain Magnate is required to play.

“Chef! Some of our guests are asking for ketchup. Do we have any?” “We don't serve ketchup at this company.” “They're also asking if the restaurant is expanding soon. There's a new restaurant in the neighborhood and with all the road construction lately it's been very busy.” “Can't you see I'm working on my new masterpiece? How can I concentrate like this? I need that Michelin star! And this new sushi dish is just what I need. Or maybe if I combine kimchi with ice cream...” “But Chef. Your guests aren't asking for fancy things; they want ketchup and coffee. And better decorations. And a new menu.” “Get out of my kitchen. Right now."

The Ketchup Mechanism and Other Ideas is an Expansion for Food Chain Magnate that includes a set of 16 unique modules that will make every game a different experience. You can add just one module at a time or play with several at the same time. Although it's probably not a good idea to play with all of them at once! The game includes several thematic combinations of recommended modules that play particularly well together.

For example, one of the new modules includes new milestones. If you use the new milestones module, you will replace all the milestones in the base game with a new set. The criteria for claiming them are different, and the advantages are different. Some have a red marker indicating that they must be claimed before Round 2. They will not be available from Round 3 onwards. To go after those milestones, you must take some very specific actions in Rounds 1 and 2, which makes your initial strategy very targeted. There are three broad directions, and you will only have enough actions to pursue one of them. Right from the start of the game, you are already forced to make a difficult choice. The level of change that a particular module will introduce is indicated in the rules. For example, the new milestones module mentioned above changes the game a lot, as it opens up a series of strategies that are very different from the use of the classic milestones, but other modules such as the lobbyists or the Kimchi module will not have such a big impact. The possibilities are enormous!

The expansion modules present many different ways to play, new strategies to follow, with new ideas required. Among other things, you'll find:

•A new set of landmarks that completely changes the strategic options

•Cafes and baristas: places where people stop on their way to get food

•New districts with different types of buildings

•Lobbyists that can place parks and new roads

•New types of food: kimchi, sushi, and noodles

•New types of marketing: mass marketing, rural marketing, and food review

•New employees

•Materials for playing with 6 players

•And, of course, Ketchup!
