Ecosystem (Spanish)

Ecosystem is a card game where players choose cards and place them in their play area, taking turns. The cards in a player's grid make up their personal ecosystem, and at the end of the game, a player will have twenty cards in their ecosystem. Bears score points by being placed next to bees and trout; trout score points by being placed next to streams and dragonflies; and streams are compared at the end of the game, with the player with the largest stream scoring points. These are just a few examples of how scoring works in this game. Don't forget to diversify!

Ecosystem can be played by 2 to 6 players and can be played in under 30 minutes. Each player receives a hand of 10 cards to start the game. Players simultaneously choose one card to add to their individual ecosystem. Once each player reveals their card, they pass the rest of their hand to the player on their left.

New cards added to a player's ecosystem must be placed adjacent to other cards. The turns continue in this way until all the cards are gone. Ten new cards are dealt to the players, and a second round takes place in which players pass cards to their right. At the end of the game, each player will have an ecosystem made up of 20 cards placed on a 4x5 grid.

The 11 cards that make up Ecosystem each seem to relate to the biology of what it depicts. Collecting packs of wolves and placing dragonflies along the stream is a good way to score higher points. The game even awards bonus points for creating a diverse ecosystem. The more different cards a player collects during the game, the greater the bonus. Players who create a very homogeneous ecosystem will be penalized with negative points.
