Santa Cruz 1797 (Spanish)

Early morning, July 25, 1797…

A squadron of His Britannic Majesty, under the command of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson, prepared to assault the fortifications of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The fight would be desperate, and by first light, the British troops were scattered and under Spanish fire. Except for some partial successes, the attack would be a complete failure, and the survivors of the landing would eventually capitulate and re-embark.

On this occasion, Nelson also lost his right arm to a cannonball ("El Tigre"), which is still preserved in the Museum of San Cristóbal Castle in Tenerife.

This is a game for two players in which each has a well-defined role: the British player must assault the city and occupy its key points while defeating the Spanish military forces; the Spanish player must wait to see where their opponent lands and then launch a tenacious and aggressive defense to defeat them.

The game is block-based and uses a card engine that allows players to act on the opponent's turn, creating an unparalleled situation of tension and uncertainty until the end of the game.
