Maracaibo Expansion The Uprising

You look overboard at the horizon, where a tired sun sinks behind the waves. The course set by your navigating officer was correct: the island you hoped to reach at nightfall looms in the distance. After throwing the heavy anchor overboard and rigging the boat, you gently begin to row towards the shore. You hear strange animal noises coming from the dark and ominous jungle - it might not be the coziest place in the world, but it's the perfect place to hide something. Hidden under the thicket, the cabin seems intact. You open the huge metal padlock with your key, revealing within it treasures that you have been storing here in secret. Some artifacts will return to the ship with you, to be sold at your next destination. The next day, after the sales close, you decide to relax at a local tavern. As you finish your abundant meal, you hear screams coming from outside. Something must be happening. You go out to investigate and see dozens of slaves and indigenous people rising up against their European oppressors, taking up arms and speaking of freedom. It's up to you to decide: do you weigh anchor and pretend you haven't seen anything... or do you participate in the revolt and lend your help to try to put an end to the injustices? The storm is coming... where will your sails take you?

The adventure continues! As if the life of a privateer wasn't exciting enough, a sea of new possibilities stretches out before you:

     New project cards that add to the existing ones, adding new effects and variety to the game.
     A new optional campaign, with new legacy and story tiles, continuing the original (but can be played independently) and a new solo opponent.
     New base ports that grant players individual abilities. An optional scenario in which you will be able to expel the colonial powers from the Caribbean. And more surprises...

Maracaibo: The Rising includes a large number of new modules and scenarios that you can mix to your liking to make the game more or less complex, according to your needs.
