Catan The Duel: Dark Ages, Golden Ages

Expand the experience of Catan: Dueling with this 215-card expansion that takes the base game to a new level. Work of the legendary Klaus Teuber (author of the mythical original Catan and responsible for its various adaptations and versions) and illustrated by Michael Menzel, Dark Ages, Golden Ages allows games of about 75 minutes, for two players, from 10 years.

Catan: the duel is the version created specifically for 2 players of the mythical Catan. The rules and components are adapted to offer a game experience in which the negotiation between the participants disappears and a card development system is passed. Turn after turn, players add resources to grow their principality until it reaches 12 points. With various themed sets, players have several avenues at their disposal to grow their village.

Dark Ages, Golden Ages adds six separate themed sets that can be used with the base game. A total of 215 cards that can be used separately or combined with the sets that included the base game Catan: the duel.

The Age of Intrigue set invites players to witness the confrontation of adherents of old and new beliefs, and you will participate in determining the spiritual balance of Catan. For example, the "Religious Dispute" event causes both players to lose cards; temples strengthen your access to your own draw piles and church cards draw the opposing heroes and earn gold. With a Church and a Temple, you can build the Big Thing and end the conflict.

In the era of the merchant princes you will be able to use the "Commercial Port" and the "Merchant Residences", decisive buildings in the fight for the commercial advantage, to try to control the trade of Catan. "Sea Trade Monopolies" and "Master Traders" upgrade trade ships and "The Shipbuilder" reduces construction costs. He Masters trading using clever card combinations!
