The nation is in chaos. The economy is going badly and a deep political disappointment engulfs the country. Low investment rates paralyze the economy, while a significant part of the population faces unemployment. The standard of living falls while political tensions rise.

Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory is a truly asymmetrical, one-of-a-kind board game for 2-4 players, in which players simulate an entire nation, its politics, and its economy.

Take control of one of four socioeconomic groups: Working Class, Middle Class, Capitalist Class, or the State. Define your own strategy and shape the political and economic landscape according to your vision to lead your class to victory.

The game has been made in collaboration with renowned academics and uses theoretical concepts like Socialism, Neoliberalism, Nationalism and Globalism without imposing any ideology. Build companies, start strikes, engage in foreign trade, propose policies, create unions, expand your political influence and much more, all while learning more about the world around you!


Mechanics
Hegemony is an asymmetric card-based political-economic game that uses mechanics such as Resource Management, Card Distribution, Voting, and Variable Player Powers.
 
Intrigue
You will decide how Hegemony develops. Will you forge alliances and negotiate to lead your class to victory, or will you resort to Machiavellian maneuvers to seal the fate of your enemies? Just like in real world politics, using either cooperation or competition, there are many ways to achieve victory.


Politics and Education
Politics is the core of Hegemony. Tested and approved by renowned professors from prestigious universities, you will learn in a playful way the fundamentals of politics, political economy and economics.
 
The working class
The Working Class is the largest segment of any society. As the player in charge of the Working Class, your goal is to defend their interests and attend to their needs.
Take care of the prosperity of your population: Do everything in your power to keep your citizenry fed, healthy and educated, and allow them to enjoy some luxury goods and services from time to time, and you will be victorious in no time!
 
The Capitalist Class
Capitalists belong to the highest socioeconomic group and possess the greatest wealth. As such, their main tasks on the board can be summed up in a few words: Business creation, capital accumulation, market dominance.
Produce goods and services, engage in trade, amass a fortune, and jump-start your nation's economy. Money talks and your money will cement your victory.
 
Middle class
As the player who takes control of the Middle Class, you represent two different groups: White-collar workers and small and medium-sized businesses. Therefore, your playstyle incorporates elements of both the Working Class and the Capitalist.
Manage your companies and make sure they remain profitable. At the same time, increase the prosperity of your workers. Although this may seem like a difficult task, it also means two different ways to earn victory points!
 
The state
The player who takes control of the State represents the government and public sector of a parliamentary democracy. Therefore, his main resource will be his legitimacy.
Keep the other estates happy by catering to their needs and you'll earn plenty of victory points. If you don't, you will facilitate your disappearance. Respond to events like scandals, pandemics or declining birth rates, and don't forget to balance your budget to avoid an IMF intervention!
