StationFall

A game of blackmail and betrayal, murder and mayhem, danger and destruction.

What is Stationfall? Well, imagine that a dozen random humans, robots, and undead, each with their own abilities, goals, and secret relationships, have been brought to a space station that is about to be incinerated upon its inevitable re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. . You are one of these characters, and the others are collaborators that you have at hand ready to help you achieve your goals. But choose them wisely, as any of them could secretly be another player waiting to betray you in order to fulfill their own goals.

Stationfall is a box full of surprises. Once opened, no one knows what you can find in it. Take advantage of each of your turns to tactically maneuver through the station, and expect to feel a dagger in your back at all times. Try to find out the secret identities of your opponents, as well as their motivations. It's the only way you can be safe (at least to some extent) from the machinations of other players. You will never know if that player who is collaborating with you now is doing so because your plans are aligned or if it is all part of a larger plan that will be revealed later.

Maneuver wisely to throw off your opponents as you move around the station. Perform actions of all kinds, both exclusive to your character and specific to the section you are in. Run, repair, hide or sabotage, but always keeping in mind to meet your final objective. Persuade your opponents to pick up items, give them to you, drop them or steal them. Did you install a powerful explosive trap on one of them? Well, sit down and see the result. Also, keep an eye on the traps in the station itself and try to avoid or take advantage of the dangers that lurk for your own benefit. You can enjoy StationFall with up to 8 other players, in a unique and exciting experience.

About the game. In StationFall each character has their own agenda and methods of earning victory points: not everyone is interested in getting out of the station alive. Points are earned for completing your player character's agenda, as well as saving or killing your extra character depending on their requirements, and a few other things. The player with the highest score will win the game when the inevitable ending occurs. On your turn, you will be able to perform the following steps in order:

Reveal (optional) - Reveals your character, which triggers some effects and can give you some abilities.

Influence (optional) - Add any number of influence cubes from your supply to a living character (a character that no one has revealed).

Activate or Renegotiate - place your activation disk on a character with whom you are tied in influence and use that character to perform an action; or recover your activation disk to your supply and up to 1 influence cube from a character card.

Resolve - deal with any end-of-turn effects, indicated by your time markers, or activate the monster if applicable.

There are, of course, some more specific details about these actions, but that's the general outline. The concept is that if a card has your influence, then that character is your "conspirator" and is working with you. When you reveal yourself, you get your own cubes back and everyone else's cubes on your card go to the "betrayal" section of the board. Note that you can influence and activate any character that has not yet been revealed, even if it is not your own character. At the beginning of the game, all characters are non-owned characters, so you can use any of them. Knowing when to reveal yourself is part of the strategy in StationFall.

When you activate characters, you usually get a single action, along with a free pickup or delivery if there are items in that character's room. However, you also get an extra action if there were no activation discs already on that character card, encouraging players to jump between different characters if they want to take more actions.

There are a lot of actions you can perform, most of which are quite intuitive: move around the station, pick up or drop (or even throw) objects, and use actions specific to the room you're in. You can also attack other characters or sabotage rooms, or leave in evacuation capsules from airlocks. Characters also have their own special abilities that can be used by anyone who activates them, and there are also some special abilities or effects when you have revealed yourself as a character.

You can also use the kompromat - there is one per character - to make that character perform an action, and you can spend your bribe on any character to do the same. Once the character has been revealed, you can still try to use kompromat or bribery, but that player can reject it. Refusing kompromat can affect your guilty record, so be careful. The time tracker shows how many "minutes" remain until the station falls into the atmosphere and the game ends, and time is counted once per round. However, there are ways for the station's fall to occur sooner, if the antimatter next to the reactor detonates (and yes... there are some characters who just want to watch the world burn).

The game ends with the station falling, either because the time marker reaches the end of the track or because the station has exploded earlier. Then it's time to check the score.
