Comet – The Dawn of Extinction

Comet – The Dawn of Extinction takes you to a remote past where you will have the opportunity to save endangered species before the impact of a comet destroys their habitats forever. Can you change the course of history? The tail of the comet has long drawn a thin line in the sky. Soon, this line will grow into a shower of terrifying flames that could destroy the animals' livelihood at any moment. You don't know for sure when the comet will fall, you just know... that it will fall soon. Use the time you have left to move as many animals as possible to the safe grotto. Newly hatched baby animals will depend on your rescuers to move around. However, once safe, they will use their skills to help you in subsequent rescue operations.


Comet is a fast and intense game with great strategic variability and depth. Its rules are very simple and easy to learn, but you will soon discover the enormous number of combos that can be performed to try to obtain the best score while saving animals from extinction. Each match presents a new challenge, as you must skillfully adapt to your opponents' actions to win. Hopefully, you can even take advantage of their own movements on the board and benefit from them to quickly bring your animals to the safe grotto.

Each game of Comet begins by receiving or choosing a rescue hero: a powerful animal with unique abilities that will be in charge of taking on the task of saving as many animals as possible. In your hand of cards you will have all kinds of animals available, each with its own values in victory points, unique and exclusive abilities, distance to its nest, ability to move on different terrain, etc. Each turn, you will have to choose carefully how you want to play the cards in your hand; either to move animals that have already hatched and are on the board, to hatch them and bring them into play or to use their movement points through different types of terrain so that your animals advance towards the safe cave.


Once an animal is rescued, it will become part of your play area and you will be able to use its special abilities to generate very powerful combos that make your hero's task easier. Among many others, you can find skills that increase the movement of your animals, that reduce the distance of the nests so that very valuable animals can hatch in nest spaces closer to the safe cave, that allow you to draw additional cards when replenishing your hand and many more.
At the end of the game, the points of all the rescued animals and bonuses that have been obtained during the game will be counted, such as the combination of specific types of animals, accumulation of animals to form herds, etc. The player with the most victory points will be the winner.
