Ziterdes - Trebuchet

With the roar of an autumn storm, the mighty throwing arm swung up. The huge block of stone, which had just been lying on the missile table in a network of strong ropes, was first torn backwards and then swung in a large arc over the trebuchet. The wood of the mighty siege engine creaked violently, and every outrigger and support beam was needed to protect the trebuchet from the sheer force of the acceleration. Shortly after the end of the throwing arm had reached its highest point, the loop came loose and the rock flew several hundred yards, over the heads of the advancing besiegers. Hugo didn't have time to observe whether the bullet had hit its target or not. This task was incumbent on his commander. He had to wait until the heavy weight basket had swung out before hoisting it back up with the help of a winch. By then, he and his comrades were already rolling the next missile in the direction of the trebuchet...

The trebuchet was probably the most feared siege weapon and could bring down castle walls. It is suitable for use in historical or fantasy tabletop games and is fully articulated after correct assembly.
