The Crown of the Kobold King is a revisit and return to some of the earliest adventures set in the world of Golarion. This volume revises and reprints the classic adventures Hollow's Last Hope (by Jason Buhlmann and F. Wesley Schneider), Crown of the Kobold King (by Nicolas Logue), and Hungry Are The Dead (by Tim Hitchcock), brought together and expanded to a level of New and never before published complete dungeon, created by Nicolas Logue. The rules have been updated and the story revised to present a cohesive whole, but the desperate need for brave heroes in Hawk's Hollow is the same as ever. Readers of the originals might detect significant changes to the original adventures.

As originally presented, these three adventures were published separately, and the option to play them together as a larger mini-campaign was always just that, an option. Now the entire Crucible of Droskar has been collected into a single book and the original adventure plots of the previous adventures have been significantly revised or outright replaced.
