In 59 BC, Gaius Julius Caesar, Gnaeus Pompey Magnus and Marcus Licinius Crassus, faced with the intransigence of the Roman Senate in the face of their particular projects and ambitions, sealed an unofficial political pact commonly known as the First Triumvirate. Thus was born a “three-headed Monster”, in the words of Varro, destined to change the course of the history of the Roman State.

Triumviratus is a flexible expansion of the ONUS! series that offers you the opportunity to take command of the armies of Gaius Julius Caesar, Gnaeus Pompey Magnus, Marcus Licinius Crassus and the civitates of Gaul, as well as an extensive selection of all-new allied and mercenary forces, to immerse yourself directly in the armed conflicts that changed the course of the history of Rome, Europe and the Near East between 59 and 44 BC.

Crassus's army box takes the player to take up the banners of the legions that the "richest man in Rome" formed to fulfill his dream of conquering the opulent Parthian Empire. He is accompanied by his son, Crassus the Younger, a skilled and courageous general, hardened by Caesar's first campaigns in Gaul. Sharing the box with both is his arch-enemy, Surena, responsible for his defeat and death at Carrhae, ready to put his genius at the service of the Parthian armies. Crassus' legions do not know what is coming to them, but with the help of the brave vigiles and numerous eastern mercenaries, such as the Galatian legionaries and the Rhodian slingers, they may be able to overcome fate and change the history of the world. If not, the survivors of Carrhae can always make a name for themselves in the service of the armies of the distant Han Empire, beyond the other end of the Orb known to the Romans.
