Long, long time ago, the Monkey King reigned on the Monkey Mountain, a joyful and peaceful place. But, one day, he made a big mistake. He offended the Buddha himself! As punishment, he was imprisoned inside the mountain and sentenced to remain there for 500 years.


During his absence, chaos seized the Monkey Mountain. The monkeys quarreled and fought each other relentlessly and eventually ceased to be the peaceful place it once was.


Time passed and, finally, a famous monk freed the Monkey King from captivity to accompany him on his journey to the West. Before embarking on this journey, the Monkey King returned to his mountain and discovered all the tumult that had been generated. He spent the whole day looking for a solution: "What can I do to return peace and joy to my home?"


Then, a basket with coconuts at the edge of the road caught his attention and, suddenly, he came up with an idea: He gathered the four most trained monkeys to reign on the Monkey Mountain and said: «Instead of fighting among you , you will play the game of coconuts. He who wins will take my place as King!

In Cocos Locos, a familiar skill game based on the "Monkey King" (a character from Chinese mythology), players throw coconuts into a field covered in baskets in the center of the table. Hit a basket, and you can stack it on your player board, hit the basket of another player's board and you can move it to yours. Aim well with your monkey thrower to make the coconuts and get the baskets. You can use magic cards in your favor or against your rivals!

By playing the special magic cards, you will force your opponents to shoot with their eyes closed, from afar, or in any way that hinders their throws. Whoever first completes a pyramid of six baskets on his board will be crowned Monkey King! When all coconuts are inside the baskets, the player with the most coconuts in the baskets of his board will be the winner.
